(Sacramento, CA) Roy Pérez of Roy M. Pérez and Associates was awarded the Business Man of the Year by the Sacramento Hispanic Chamber of Commerce at its annual Business Gala on Saturday, February 24, at the Sacramento Convention Center. The award recognizes Pérez for his outstanding leadership on legislative issues as well as his fundraising and sponsorship of the Sacramento Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.

“It is an honor to be selected alongside a great group of other leaders in the Hispanic community,” stated Pérez. “This award and my many years of involvement with the chamber are something that I am very proud of. I have seen the chamber grow to become a very influential force in our community. I am very fortunate to be a part of its history.”

The dinner recognized many within the Hispanic community including: Business Woman of the Year, Corporate Advocate of the Year, Volunteer of the Year and Non-Profit Organization of the Year. The gala also included the installation of its Board of Directors for the coming year.

Pérez has been a member of the Sacramento Hispanic Chamber of Commerce for over twenty years and has served in several capacities including: Advocate, Fundraiser, and Vice President. He is currently the Chair of the Central Region for the California Hispanic Chambers of Commerce.
