Central California Hispanic Chamber of Commerce invites public to Cinco De Mayo Fest in Old Town Clovis on May 5th at 10:15am– Consulate of Mexico & Mayor of Clovis to perform ribbon cutting on new event

The Central California Hispanic Chamber of Commerce invites everyone to the debut of Cinco De Mayo Fest in Old Town Clovis at 10:15 am on May 5th 2007 at the Chukchansi Stage. The Chamber has confirmed the Consulate of Mexico, Martha Elvia Rosas will be in attendance to perform a special ribbon cutting ceremony to coronate this new event. Clovis Mayor Bob Whalen and the Clovis City Council have also been invited to mark this very special occasion.

Chamber President Eligio Nava stated the following. “Cinco De Mayo Fest is going to be a great event. We want everyone to come out and enjoy themselves. The Chamber would like to thank the City of Clovis, BOOT and the Clovis Chamber for all of their help and support. We greatly appreciate their insight and feedback during the planning and execution of this grand event. I would also would like to thank the sponsors of the event. Now we need the people to come out and enjoy themselves, visit our exhibitors and spend some money in Clovis.”

The Health Zone is designed to educate the public about the value of staying healthy. The Central California Blood Center, Aetna, California Transplant Donor Network, the Health Consumer Center, the Ronald McDonald House, the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, California Telephone Access Program and others will provide a great environment for both education and volunteer opportunities. Come out and enjoy.

Kids Zone
The Kids Zone will feature several bounce houses a super slide, a fast pitch booth, appearances from Can-Can the Clown, Ronald McDonald, the Fresno Grizzlies Parker and the Fresno Fuego mascot Scorcher. This promises to be a great opportunity for your family to enjoy a fun filled day.

Arts & Crafts
Lots of jewelry, specialty booths and fine art will be on display. Come out and enjoy!

A variety of tacos, nachos, tri tip sandwiches, corn dogs, cotton candy, candy apples, funnel cakes, churros, hot dogs and much more… I’m already going back for seconds.

About Cinco De Mayo Fest
Cinco De Mayo Fest is an annual event of the Central California Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. Attendance is projected to be twenty five to thirty thousand for this first time event. It will feature 125 exhibitors, arts and crafts, a health zone, kids zone, beer garden, food court and great entertainment.
